Overview
Dental Assistants are multi-skilled health care professionals who assist dentists with a variety of dental office procedures. OIC's Dental Assistant program prepares you for an exciting new dental career in as little as 10 months. At OIC you will learn a multitude of dental office skills including four handed chair side assisting, dental radiography, office laboratory procedures along with clinical and administrative skills. With courses in Four-Handed Chair Side Assisting, Medical Terminology, Medical & Dental Anatomy, Patient Communication, Dental Radiography and OSHA Precautions. OIC's Dental Assistant program is designed to meet the needs of today's health care industry. OIC's Dental Assistant program is Accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement, Licensed by the West Virginia Department of Education, is a Member of the National Association of Health Professionals, and prepares students for the National Dental Assistant Certification through the National Registry for Health Professionals.
