Overview

Phlebotomy is the practice of drawing blood for the diagnosis and monitoring of a patient's health. Phlebotomists are highly trained professionals that possess technical, organizational and interpersonal skills. Employment opportunities are available in a wide variety of health care settings including clinics, urgent care centers, laboratories, nursing homes, physician offices and hospitals. OIC's 3-4 month accredited Phlebotomy program is designed to provide students with the education and hands-on clinical experience required to become a professional phlebotomist. Phlebotomy courses are offered throughout the year and can be taken as an individual training program or combined with other programs for expanded skills. Preferred - previous knowledge or experience.
